About us
What happens when four friends combine their vast winemaking experience and passion for great wine? Quattro Mano.
Rather than opting for traditional varieties, Quattro Mano was conceived as a means to allow us to explore grape varieties and wine styles not available to us in our daily winemaking roles. Not owning vineyards has made our task somewhat more difficult and it has taken a great deal of time and effort to source appropriate, high quality fruit. In 2006 the opportunity to secure some wonderful Tempranillo from the Lyndoch in the Southern Barossa Valley presented itself and Quattro Mano was born. Quattro Mano now sources fruit from two fantastic growers in the Barossa and Eden Valleys.
Our hands-on, boutique Barossa collaboration controls the winemaking process from grape to bottle – all aspects of the winemaking process including processing, maturation, blending and bottling are managed by us. We work with small quantities of exceptional fruit from vineyards across the region. Each parcel of fruit is handled separately in small batches, always with a view to respecting fruit integrity and quality.
We are committed to crafting alternative wine styles that are elegant, showcase a wonderful purity of fruit and that are distinctively Barossan.
